HOFFMAN 17C-401536-1/2 1/2" ANGLE THERMOSTATIC STEAM TRAP

This Hoffman Thermostatic Steam Trap is a ½” angle trap, model number 17C. This trap is small and simple with enough capacity for various applications including radiators, convectors, unit heaters, cooking kettles, sterilizers, heating coils, tracer lines, evaporators, and other applications. The Hoffman 17C Angle Trap is used most frequently in low pressure heating systems. Thermostatic angle traps are used to reduce startup times and improve efficiency of systems by responding to pressure and temperature to discharge air and condensate and close against the passage of steam. During system operation, steam traps find an equilibrium point to drain condensate about 10-30°F below the saturated steam temperature of the pressure within the system.
