This electronic solenoid valve is from Chicago Faucet. It is a replacement solenoid for both 1st and 2nd generation E-tronic faucet solenoids. The 1st generation E-tronic solenoids were sold between March 2008 and November 2013. Second generation solenoids were sold between November 2013 and December 2016. This solenoid is a replacement for those two generations. Chicago Faucet repair part number 242.979.AB.1.

Generation Identification Help:
The valve body the solenoid fits into will match one of the following descriptions:
1st Generation: White plastic valve body with white solenoid and black bonnet
2nd Generation: White plastic valve body with black solenoid and white bonnet

Steps to remove old solenoid (1st Generation)
1. Unplug solenoid wire connector
2. Remove bonnet retainer screws and retainer
3. Using pliers, pull up to remove solenoid

Steps to remove old solenoid (2nd Generation)
1. Unplug solenoid wire connector
2. Remove bonnet retainer screws
3. Using pliers, pull up to remove retainer and solenoid
